Emmitt Paints for the first time with Courtney

A Quick trip to Virginia Beach

 Poppy went to visit Kat and Pate, so we took a weekend to go see her. We only had one day at the beach. It was cold and only Courtney was brave enough to actually touch the water.

 We had a watermelon snack, which Emmitt thought went well with a little sand.

 In fact when he was finished nibbling on his slice he just started digging with it. And every now and then he would try to taste it again.

Emmitt's First Birthday

 We invited a few friends had neighbors over, brought his high chair outside and ate zucchini bread. I can not believe it took me thins long to get it posted to the blog but as least it is before he turned 2!

 Opening presents is fun!

Emmitt"s First Word

 I think he got a taste of it.

 Playing in a bed of freshly placed growing medium was irresistible. It just felt so neat! Emmitt actually tried to say the word dirt.
