We Made a Trip to Disney World

Here we go everyone in the car!

Even getting from the parkinglot to the park is fun on one of the trams.

Riding the monorail seeing the sights.

The whole gang after the parade and fireworks show at Mickey's Merry christmas party in the Magic Kingdom.

Courtney did not want to take any pictures, but Snow White was usually pushy and got one anyway.

Aurora was happy to talk fashion with Courtney they discussed the flowers on Courtney's dress and which color was better pink or blue, both agreeing they liked pink best.

By the time Ariel came around Courtney had eaten some dinner and was happy to take pictures.

With Belle, Courtney was full and ready for anything, I think she would have gone around the room with her.

This is Courtney just before her first rollercoaster ride on Goofy' Barnstormer in the Toontown Fair in Magic Kingdom.

This is a glimpse of the rollercoaster, it was so fast it was hard to get a picture of . Courtney really liked it and road it at least three times. After this ride she was willing to try other rides called roller coasters.

Baba and Courtney making themselves comfy on Minnie Mouse's couch.

Petting and brushing goats in Animal Kingdom with cousin Nicholas.

Climbing on dinosuar bones.

And our last stop was the Lego store with the Lego playground.

Happy Halloween!

Even though Courtney was a frog at a party we attended the weekend before, she decided to Trick or Treat as a princess with blue hair and white lace gloves. We all dressed up and walked through the neighborhood.

She got lots of candy and was allowed to taste one, but it was yucky, so she got some sweet treats from me and gave her collected candy back out to the trick-or-treaters that came by our house.

To Virginia beach

In early September, we took alittle weekend trip to visit Kat and Pate and see Virginia Beach. On the way we stopped to picnic, following some brown historical road signs to a fort and ended up in the middle of no where, Brunswick County Virgina. And we learned while we were there that it is the home of Brunswick stew.

The canon and a couple of markers where about all that is there. If you like you can walk the perimeter of the fort following the timbers that mark where the five pentagon shaped towers were.

When we got there we had to go to see the beach right away. It was really cool and while Pate and Chris and Alicia stood there shivering Courtney played in the water.

We went back the next day when it was alittle warmer and played some more.

There's Gold in them thar Hills

In September, we went with a friend and a homeschooling group to Hiddenite, NC to mine for gems. We went slucing, creeking and digging and found some very colorful rocks.

Courtney was told that we would get wet in the creek, so she decided her bathing suit would be the proper attire.

We also had a good time helping out with the duck feeding that afternoon.
