Happy Easter

We dyed eggs on Saturday and left them for the Bunny who hid them in the year for us to find on Easter. This year we blew out most of the eggs so we could use the scrabbled eggs since no one but Alicia will eat boiled ones. This year while at the checkout waiting I read Martha Stewart's egg dying tricks. We tried out electrical tape to make our stirpes and shapes, so easy my new favorite trick.

Baba's tropical themed egg was this year's best.

Camping at Home!

Without anytime off or extra cash for a little weekend adventure, we were in need of some fun. Thrusday night, Courtney pulled the cushion off my chair, which is just the length of her body, and she was determined to sleep on it like it was her camping mat. I am not sure what time she crawled into bed with us, but just before she fell asleep on her mat while Baba snoozed we came up with our plan to surprise him by going camping in the living room. So Friday afternoon we went up into the attic and pulled down the tent. While I worked to figure out how to set it up, Courtney was busy in her room pulling out and packing her suitcase, which had enough toys to fill the tent and two dresses. There was a bit of drama when I could not figure the tent out, but Courtney decided Baba would still be surprised even if we called him to ask him how. We slept in the tent Friday and Saturday night even though Baba was very tempted by his own bed just in the other room. And when we packed the tent up on Sunday, Courtney was only consoled by the fact that the Easter Bunny was coming next weekend.

We had a camp fire in the back yard.

We went on a bike ride to the park with the rock wall play ground.

And we even tried to fly a kite, but the wind wasn't with us!

Oh, it was fun!!!!

Ready to garden!

With the tools and gloves MaMere sent, all pink, of course!

Baba built Courtney a tree seat.

She is still asking for a tree house, but is having fun in her "tower" for now.

Carpet picnic.

Spread a blanket or in this case scarf on the floor and grab a bite.

Courtney got a rope swing this winter.
